And finally: the status of our very-recent 'Christmas Island' endeavor...

Good Morning Mr. Gary:

I have finally put together a DVD of the Kritimati Island Heart Patients. I am not a professional DVD creator. However, I hope you find this collection of photos very gratifying. The patients are most grateful for the life saving surgeries they received in Plano, Texas at the Baylor Heart Hospital. Your help in funding the transportation of the people wa essential to getting the surgeries performed.

I have been in contact with our patients via e-mail. They have nothing but praise for all the efforts to restore their health. They also have talked to each other recently and they pass along their gratitude as well. They all told me before they boarded the plane how much they appreciated your efforts.

******* has probably already passed along all of the results; but I shall do the same as well.

-- A quadruple bypass performed.
-- A double bypass and valve replacement performed.
-- A valve replacement and one valve repaired.
-- Cardiac surgery: he was on a ventilator for 3 days before he could breathe on his own.
-- Repaired a valve which did not close at birth. She is 9 years old.
-- Repaired a valve.
-- Replaced one valve with a mechanical valve and repaired one valve.
-- Replaced two valves with mechanical valves.
-- Replaced two valves with mechanical valves.
-- He was 'too risky' to help. He is 22 years old. Sad.

All of these patients say 'Ko Rawba' to you. Thank You from the bottoms of their new hearts.

Even the three patients we could not help say 'Thank You' for flying them to Texas.
